A new Padworth Partnership

This year we are launching a new partnership with Veolia at their Padworth recycling centre.

Veolia have a large wildlife area next to the Recycling plant and the team there have been creating paths and seating for the staff to enjoy. As part of the project I was asked last year to consider putting bees into the site, and after a visit decided it was a great secure location with good forage.

Over the winter the team have prepped an apiary - clearing and leaving the gravel mounds and creating an access path. We have needed put some hives in and will be adding bees over the season.

This is a great corporate partnership, it was the first time I have had to do Health and Safety training before accessing an apiary!
